I was originally self-taught and then formally studied Afro-Cuban percussion and drums in Cuba with Enrique Pla (Irakere) and Samuel Formell (Los Van Van), among others, thanks to a scholarship awarded to me by the Arts Council Of England.

I have also personally researched on several other Latin-American and Caribbean styles while always pursuing my personal development.

I have taught at the Musicians' Institute in London for several years and was appointed Deputy Head of PIT, its percussion department.
Up to this day, I have had the opportunity to perform with many great international artists and bands of various styles and backgrounds, touring the world over and accumulating credits on more than fifty records.
Currently I am a visiting faculty and clinician at various institutes around Europe and, when not on the road, I am busy recording percussion and drums for international artists and producers.
